Why BioGRID was created

BioGRID is proudly developed and supported by Bioforum, a global biometrics CRO specializing in clinical data management, biostatistics and statistical programming and medical writing solutions. Unlike generic data platforms, BioGRID was born from real-world challenges faced by clinical trial professionals within Bioforum itself.

Our clinical trial experts and data management teams needed a platform that could simplify complex data handling, meet regulatory demands, and provide actionable insights for both hands-on users and executive decision-makers. BioGRID was created to bridge this gap, combining the practical needs of data managers with the strategic requirements of leadership.

From day one, BioGRID’s development was guided by the hands-on experience of data analysts, clinical professionals, and project managers.

We built a platform that reflects the daily realities of managing diverse clinical data sources while maintaining the flexibility needed to address unique study scenarios. This practical, problem-solving approach makes BioGRID a solution truly designed for the people who use it — from the operational teams on the ground to the executives overseeing trial progress.

Our Team

Behind BioGRID is a dedicated team of data scientists, clinical trial experts, and technology innovators. Our collective goal is to make clinical data management intuitive, flexible, and powerful.

As a certified clinical data manager, Tanya holds a M.Med.Sc. in Hematology and Cell Biology from University of the Free State, as well as her project management professional certification. She has vast industry experience with over 14 years with IQVIA (legacy Quintiles). As manager of various data management operation teams, Tanya has actively led strategies for customized data delivery solutions focusing on timely quality data. She has driven numerous innovation teams, and her dedication to optimal customer service/delivery is visible through her long-standing relationships.
Francois joined Bioforum in February 2021 with over 20 years of industry experience, bringing deep expertise in clinical programming, visual analytics, and data-driven strategy. As Director of Clinical Data Systems and Data Management Programming, he leads a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovative, efficient, and scalable data solutions across clinical trials. Francois oversees the planning and execution of systems architecture, data integration, automation, and advanced visualization initiatives, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance and operational excellence. A strong advocate for innovation, Francois plays a key role in advancing BioGRID’s use of artificial intelligence to enhance clinical data insights and streamline decision-making. Known for his strategic vision and collaborative leadership, he continues to shape the future of clinical data intelligence at Bioforum.
Marli is a seasoned Clinical Data Manager with over 18 years of experience in managing clinical trials across diverse therapeutic areas. Since joining Bioforum in 2020, she has been instrumental in delivering high-quality data management services to sponsors, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of clinical trial data. Marli's expertise and dedication led to her appointment as Product Manager for BioGRID, where she drives the development and optimization of data analytics and visualizations. Passionate about leveraging data visualizations, Marli is committed to fostering innovation in clinical trials through strategic data insights.
Kenneth is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in the industry, including 3 years of specialized expertise with BioGRID. He has developed extensive proficiency in SAS, utilizing its powerful analytics tools to deliver impactful solutions. His expertise in data management, statistical analysis, and business intelligence has allowed him to drive significant outcomes and enhance performance.
